no printer working help is needed

I was using an extension cable for my printer and could unplug the usb
and put in my ipod or my camera. one day i went to plug back in and the

printer was gone from my printers window. bought a new printer and
installed the software and when i pluged it in it said there was a
problem with the instalation. The RPC server in unavailable. I went
into run and did all the things that i was told to do and i still can't

get it to work. HELP ME

error message ERROR 1053.

did what it said and when i got to the regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows
NT x86\Drivers

everything was there but not the file (drivers) so i could not
continue. any suggestions
 
Skip that and follow the rest of the steps, mainly the "sc config"
command-line.

THAT COMMAND. iS IT POSSIBLE THAT I FRIED MY USB PORT FOR USE WITH A
PRINTER
 
If the SC Config command does not work, try fixing the Dependency value in
the registry manually. See:
