No Print Preview of HTML items in Outlook 2002 and 2003

The feature is available and works well on Outlook 2000. To my surprise
when I tried to print preview an HTML message, an info message said that
"Print preview is no available for HTML formatted items". Funny enough the
Outlook Welcome message from Microsoft is an HTML message.

I use this feature extensively at work on Outlook 2000. Why is it no longer
available on the newer versions?

It took Microsoft four versions of Internet Explorer to add a simple print
preview function. Now after years of users complaining about bloated
software, did someone decide to start taking features like this one off? So
the app can be crammed with useless frame borders, smudged up icons and
multitude of redundant ways of seeing the same items. With competition from
OpenOffice and multitude of very good and very free email clients knocking
on the door, is this the way to go? Speaking of missing features, where did
the Inbox Repair Tool (scanpst.exe) go? Was that too big and too useless as
well?
