No Pictures on Explorer 6.0

I recently down loaded Internet Explorer 6.0 from the
Microsoft site to replace the existing version 5.0.
Unfortunately, I came to realize that with the new version
of the Explorer I get "x" boxes instead of pictures in
some sites. I tried everything possible without luck.
Could any one in the Microsoft land help me with this. I
greatly appreciate it. I have window 98 on my computer.
