No picture in video

I am using Windows XP and have recently upgraded to Windows Media Player 11
as well as IE Beta 7,

I am unable to see any pictures in videos off the internet, altho I can hear
the sounds. I understand I may need codecs but there are a zillion codecs
out there and dont know which one is appropriate. Is there any other
solution to this problem.

Appreciate any help

Let's have a look and see what format video they are using.... Hmmm, it
comes up with an embedded Windows Media Player on my PC but they are using
an MP4 format. Do you have Quicktime installed as well as WMP? I obviously
have the codecs for MP4 but I'm not sure what application installed them on
my PC....

According to the MS KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992/en-us#

I know I do have the Indeo Codecs installed because I remember buying the
download. I think the best thing to do is contact the Food Network and ask
what they suggest. They may have a free download for you that supports MP4
or be able to tell you exactly which MP4 codecs they are using.

Thank you so much for your input. Its really kind of you to take the time.
I will contact Foodnetwork and find out if they have a free download that
supports MP4
tell me exactly which MP4 codecs they are using.
