I have been pulling my hair out ever since I installed XP. I have a small
network with two PCs and one laptop connected to a wireless Netgear router.
All PCs get IPs from DHCP router, on the same workgroup, simple file sharing
disabled. Every now and then I try to browse the workgroup and I get a
message telling me that I do not have permissions to access the workgroup and
to contact my administator. What gives? I am the Admin and I own the
workgroup. I never had any problems with Win98, Me, or even Win2K. Why can
I not manage my network like I used to be able to with Win2K? And another
thing, using the Network wizard is useless and it tells me that using a 4
port router\switch with my cable modem is not recommended by Microsoft and
will not allow me to continue. Thanks alot Mr. Gates!!!
