no options in tools

I went to tools on mail bar but thee is no "options" to select from. I really
would like to use my spell check feature since I'm not a really good speller
and I do a lot of e-mail to family and friends. Please help!
 
Click on "Tools" in the main Windows Mail window, not in an open message
or create Mail window.
