no option for 2 ip addresses on xp home

Have tried to configure 2 ip addresses to use at home and
work but do not have the "alternative" tab come up when
following these instructions. this is the link for the
instructions I have used but only getting the 1st
tab "general"

The alternate configuration tab only appears if you configure the
General tab to obtain an IP address automatically.

To configure two static IP addresses, enter the first one on the
General tab, click Advanced, click Add, and enter the second one.

Hi

If you've configured your PC for a fixed IP the Alternate tab won't
display, you need it set to DHCP. See this article here
