I have DSL via PPPoE on my machine. When I set my PC to standby and
wake it up again, respectively when I disconnect the DSL connection
and reconnect (Dialup), the network is missing.

Ping, Tracert etc. do not show any network and behave like if I would
be offline. Webbrowsers and other network applications do not work.

What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Thank you,
Christian / Berlin / Germany.

 Hello, it seems we may have a similar problem although mine
isn't directly conected to going into standby mode but if I leave my
connection unused for any significant amount of time i lose it the
activity light completely stops blinking and if I open any browser it
can't find the connection. After I continue opening closing an internet
connecting software like live update or napster, aol, ect. ect. It
finaly starts to as it appears to wake up as it seems.
So if any one has had this problem or similar could you please respond
with some insite on the matter, I havent sofar been abale to get any
succesfull help from any tech support assosiated with my divices or
software.
