No more new fonts may be applied to this workbook

Hi,

I have a problem using Excel 2003 where in big files I
have this error message "No more new fonts may be applied
to this workbook" that suddenly appears. Could be a
memory thing, but once this happens the excel gets hang &
I can't save my work.

Can anyone advise what I can do to prevent or overcome
this error? Thanks.

There is a limit of about 4000 unique formats in Excel. a
unique format is made up of font name, size, colour and a
few other things. The only way around it is to reduce the
combinations, maybe by only using 2 or 3 fonts in 3 or 4
sizes.
