No more new fonts may be applied to this workbook

Hello,

I have an Excel Workbook with 6 worksheets containing a
large number of charts linked to data sources in
different workbooks. I receive the error message "No
more new fonts may be applied to this workbook" when any
font changes are attemped in the charts. I have tried
the suggestion on the MS knowledge base (uncheck
autoscale selection) with no success. I only receive the
same error message. I am running Excel 2002.
I can solve the problem by breaking up the workbook but I
would prefer to keep it together.
Any suggestions?

It's an Excel limitation, but you can at least get around it for most projects. Note that you may have to delete some graphs (or move them temporarily to another workbook) in order to eliminate the error long enough to de-select the auto-scale feature
