No More Autoplay

Dan Drewry

When you put a CD in the drive it should start playing with your default
player. Mine used to, but no longer does. I've gone through the
procedure of telling both drives to Autoplay, but they refuse.
They also won't play by clicking on the drive in My Computer.
The only way I can play a CD is to bring up the player, such as
MusicMatch, and then tell it to play the CD. Since this works, I know
the drives are working OK. CD burning works, also.
Any ideas about what's wrong?
I have Win XP Pro, Samsung CD-ROM, and Sony CD burner on a Dell Dimension.
Thanks.

1.In Windows Explorer, right-click the CD drive, and then click Properties.
2.Click the AutoPlay tab, and then in the Select a content type box, click
Music Files.
3.Click the action that you want Windows to perform when a CD/DVD is
inserted into the drive

I've done everything in all these suggestions, but didn't have to change
or update anything. Any other ideas?

When I say I've done all that stuff, I mean Autoplay STILL doesn't work.
