No messages

I arrived at the newsgroup with my favorites shortcut.
All I see is the bottom part of the display; no messages
and no selection.

Wonder if it is because task manager says there is no user
in my computer, which I posted just before coming back to
this situation.

Guess I have to go back to Windows ME in order to see
anything here.

check "view" -> "layout..." and see if you left anything unchecked there.
