Andrew

I am attempting to email someone, and the email is on their website as a
link, when i click it, it comes up with its own email server in a seperate
window, once i type in my message and hit send it asks for my email account,
at which point i type in my hotmail mailing address, after this i am told "
Windows Mail no longer supports the HTTP servers used by hotmail and other
web-based e-mail providers" it then has a link to fix the problem, which asks
me to install windows live. I did this and the problem isnt fixed. Any ideas?

Right click on the email link from the web site, "Copy Shortcut". Paste it
into Notepad and extract the email address manually.

I am new at this, so don't laugh at my question. I tried to follow your
instructions to make hotmail my default email service, but it didn't work.
Can you tell me how to "unzip" the files? Thanks.

Just double-click on the downloaded file...

The unzipping process should be automatic when you double-click or open
the downloaded file (registerhm.zip). At what point does it fail for you?
