No logon screen

I have used Vista beta 2 since it became general available. Now suddenly the
logon screen does not show. The screen is black/brown, in the lower right
corner it is written Windows Vista build xxxx. I can move the mouse, but
there are no icons to click. The keyboard seems dead (no light and no action
when touched). I have tried to do different startups but with the same emty
screen as result. The log option did not indicate anything wrong.

Suggestions would be appriciated!

Thanks in advance!

See if you get the same type of problem in safe mode. If you do not: you are
likely looking at a driver issue.

If you do: try booting from the vista disc. If you can get here, run the
memory test that's available, because there is a chance you have failing RAM

I have the same problem in safe mode and I have tested the memory and it is
reporting no errors.

Other suggestions?
