Well, sir or madame, AutoUpdater seems to be working here this morning.
Tracert still fails, so that may be "normal" in this case. I guess all we
know is that there was a problem, and that in this case the error message
that MS AntiSpyware presented to the user saw was inaccurate.

3 days later all better updated just fine instaled updates quickly no problem
now

The error message is the same regardless of where the connectivity break
between the program and the servers is : (

Is anybody in this thread still seeing a problem?

I believe this was a routing problem, which is now resolved.
