Ladies and gentlemen,
Windows XPpro SP1a
Compaq 6410nx
Cable Internet
Onboard Ethernet
My problem is that when I start my computer and log on to
my account I can access the internet for only around 4hrs
then nothing. I have checked the device manager and it
says that my onboard ethernet (realtek) is running
properly. I've even gone so far as to disable the onboard
through BIOS and installed 3 different PCI cards
(Kingston,D-link,Netgear) Device Manager says they are
working but I then have absolutly no internet.
One thing I will say is this problem occured only after
downloading a well known peer-to-peer program. I have
uninstalled the program and have ran both Bazooka, and
Adware6.0 to delete any spyware that was left. Did this
Program (starts with a K) do something to my Winsock,
TCP/IP settings, or something else?
Thank You,
ech
