no imaging devices

When I go to the device manager to look for imaging devices there is not one.
I am trying to get my conputer to connect to my my scanner but it says
there is no connection. But have every thing connected. Help me.

Some scanners are a real bear to get working. Following the instructions
to the letter as well as performing the install ritual by the light of
the full moon is sometimes required, ;-) I'd start by re-reading the
instructions.

Well did you install the scanner/software as per instructions or........?

Hi Paul
Have you tried via Control Panel/Scanners & Cameras.
There should be a Wizard there - I know I have used one for cameras.
