Hi - I've got HP Home installed and just did a
reinstallation after some bugs cropped up. That went fine
and everything came up but now there's no internet
connection.

That is, in Internet Explorer it can't address anything.
This is on a router/DSL setup.
IPCONFIG verifies DHCP has set the IP correctly and I can
PING out to the net.

In Network connections, the LAN connection is active and
shows OK. I tried going to setup new connection -
internet - DSL/Direct connection and now there's an icon
for Connection. That's buggy and doesn't seem to work or
be able to be deleted.

Help! There's got to be an easier to see/edit network
connections. Any suggestions?

If you can PING to the outside and not load a web page, then the problem is
with either your IE settings or name resolution. For IE, check your proxy
server configuration. For name resolution try flushing your DNS cache and
checking your HOSTS file for invalid entries.
