Running Vista. I am not able to access the internet using Internet Explorer
but I can using Firefox. Windows mail seems to work OK. Any thoughts? I
have rebooted but to no avail.

Thanks.

What happens when you try? If you get any error messages, please quote them
exactly. In the meantime, try running IE in No Add On mode. Often issues
with IE are caused by third-party add ons, toolbars, etc.

MS webpage explaining add-ons: http://tinyurl.com/2tro8f

Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons; or

Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No
add-ons).

Troubleshooting and Internet Explorer?s (No Add-ons) Mode -

Since the problem is just with IE, if the above doesn't fix it you might
want to post in the IE newsgroup where you'll find IE experts.

Thanks Malke ... the problem has resolved itself. It involved unistalling
a trail version of some antivisur software then installing a full version
from another source, then having the problem with IE, tried to revert to
trail version (no luck), re-installed full version and everything all of a
sudden was working fine. Go figure.

Thanks for hyour reply.
