no icons on the desktop

My kids hit some keys on the keyboard and now after
loading Windows I see absolutely empty desktop, without
any icon and taskbar. If I hit Ctrl, Alt, Del, the task
manager appears and from here I can work. How can I get
back the normal desktop appearance?
