No Icon In System Tray; Is Program Running?

Yes, I too am dealing with this no icon deal.... I've read and tried some of
the previous "fixes", but to no avail. How can I simply tell if the program
is running?

check for the running processes in task manager
Open Task Manager, click on the Processes tab, click on Image Name to sort
by that, and look for gcasDtServ.exe and gcasServ.exe

The only fix is to log out and log back in. This is a bug in XP's source
code, and affects many differrent apps.
