IE6 on my machine does not save or show any history. I
have sufficient space allocated and specifiy 15 days
history to be saved. When I access history it is empty.

Any ideas?

You History folder cold be corrupted. Delete it and reboot the computer.
Windows will reinstall it.

How does it create the new History folder? Does it use a template from
somewhere on the hard drive? The reason I ask is that I have gone to the
effort of logging on as a different user account and deleting the History
and Temporary Internet Files folder, emptying the recycle bin, and
rebooting. As soon as I logged on again, the files were back - including all
the temp files that I had deleted. And my IE history still didn't work.

Does XP keep a shadow copy of these files somewhere that it uses when it
can't find them in the usual place?
