No Help Index again

WinXP Pro SP1a

When I click on Index on the Help and Support Center window's menu bar I get
a popup stating
Cannot locate "D:\\Windows\\PCHealth\\HelpCtr\\Indices\\merged.hhk"

I've already unsuccessfully gone thru the various advice at Kelly's Korner
for repairing Help.

Note that the OS is installed on drive-C not drive-D. And I don't know what
to make of the double backslashes.

There must be a registry fix to point the file <merged.hhk> to its proper
path. Anybody know the fix?

Try MJ's Help Diagnostics utility from this site:

Hi,

You will need to change this via the registry. As for the double slashes
that is how the some registry keys/values are recorded once exported, as per
record .
