No headers with forwarded mail

A colleague forwarded me an email she recieved from outside our organisation.
Internally we use Exchange with Outlook 2003 clients.

I wanted to examine the header info but there was none.

Does Exchange/Outlook remove internet header info from forwarded mail?

If so, how can I view the original header?

fanx.

With the message *opened* (not viewed in reading pane), click the View
menu and choose Options.

I should have said - I tried all the usual methods for viewing the headers
i.e. opening the email, going to the options etc.

When I analyse my other emails, I can view the headers of messages sent
directly to me, but not those forwarded to me by colleagues. Is this by
design? Is it an option that can be changed?

Any headers that are not visible with the View > Options screen of the
opened message have obviously been removed by the sender that forwarded
the message to you.

I am experiencing the same identical thing. Messages forwarded on the inside
have the headers stripped/missing/gone! And these users are just your
run-of-the-mill users that don't know much of anything but reading and
sending.

So there must be some default setting either in Exchange or Outlook that
removes headers forwarded inside. Do you have any more info?
