No gif transparency when used within cell of table

Hi

Scenario - Page background set to sunflower theme. Table inserted and gif
picture used as background within 1 of the cells of the table. The tranparent
areas of the gif show as white. Place the gif outside the table and bingo, the
tranparent areas behave correctly and the background theme shows through the
transparent areas.
Any suggestions?

No. Only the page has background colour set which shows through in the other
blank cells of the table.

Set the background color of the cell to default in cell properties, it will then inherit the
background from the page.

probably its the table or table cell that is white, not the picture. Set the
table b/ground colour to 'none'. same with table cell.
