No Full Screen for games!!

I know this topic was started already, but I didnt know
how to branch off that one so I started another one.
Anyway.. I have Windows XP, its an older version, back
when microsoft first introduced XP. I have my screen set
at 1024x768 because thats the default setting for my
Laptop (Compaq Armada 7400 with Pentium II 332) I have a
full screen with my desktop and when I use Windows media
player. But when I play any games (Microsoft Golf 1999)or
Roller Coaster Tycoon, or anyother game.. I can only view
the game at 800x600 with black surrounding the window. I
have an S3 ViRGE MX graphics card in my laptop. Is there
anyway to fix this problem so I can view games at
1024x768? (I already tried resetting my screen at
800x600, the games were still windowed) Thanks for any
assistance given!!

Hi Ray,

A few ideas come to mind here.

1. Press ALT+Enter to activate Full Screen mode
2. Check the game's shortcuts for -windowed switches, and remove if found
3. Update your video, LCD and chipset drivers from Compaq's site

I hope those help you get that issue resolved Ray.
