No download prompt in IE6.0

Hi,

When I left click a link to a .zip file in IE6.0 the .zip
is dowloaded automatically to:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\Content.IE5\WCSBFST0\index-list[1].zip

I do not get a prompt to save. This is something that has
just happened as I used to get the save as dialogue box
before.

How can I fix this?

To get the download dialog box, enable the "confirm open after download" option for that filetype:

Click "Start" -> "Program Files" -> "Windows Explorer".

Then click "Tools" -> "Folder Options".

Change to the "File Type" tabs.

Scroll down to locate the file type. Highlight the filetype (example :"PPT
Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation") and click the "Advanced" button.

Then check the option "confirm open after download".

Also, set the "NoSelectDownloadDir" to "0"

I set the "confirm open after download" in the File Type
tab in Folder Options for .zip and that seems to have
fixed things.

However, I was unable to set "NoSelectDownloadDir" to "0"
as there does not appear to be the registry key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\
Restrictions]
on my machine. I am running Windows XP Pro & IE 6.0.

Should I have this key under XP? Is is strictly necessary
to set the value of this key to 0?
