no domain

I had this computer that used to be in a domain but it is no longer in the
domain and no longer has a netowrk card in it. So when the computer boots up
that dropdownbox is not there so i can not select local computer, i think
this is normal.
But i can not get logged on at all not with any local user accounts not the
local administrator account. So when i do try to log on i get this message
"the system cannot log you on now because the domain "pc name" is not
available. So since i can not get logged on i can not change anything in the
registry if i needed to.

You have a couple of choices:
a) Re-insert the network adapter, then rejoin the domain.
b) Ask the network administrator to give you the password
for the local admin account.

It's like getting a second-hand car: Not only do you need the
car but you also need all the keys.
