No display on LCD (mobility radeon)

I have Toshiba 1115 laptop. XP home edition and
ATI mobility radeon 16MB came with it. After ~1yr
use, I can see no display on laptop LCD. With
external monitor, the display is fine. Switching
with Fct-F5 works well (ie, when switched to LCD,
no display).

After Toshiba's advice, I reinstalled Windows XP.
This solved problem for 20days but then the same
problem occurred again. XP latest service pack is
installed.

I do not think it is due to the cable connecting
motherboard and LCD, because LCD displays sometimes
but NOT randomly.

For graphic SW, I have IDL, cygwin, etc (LCD works
well with this SWs before). I do not play games,
DVD etc.

Thanks

For example,when I am switching between CRT/LCD,
I always see signal on LCD (but this lasts ~2 secs
and LCD becomes blank). This situation happens
all the time - ie, the problem is not with lose cable.
