no DHCP

was W2000 standalone server (not domain controller) with dhcp enabled with
multiple clients working fine..

I promoted to AD, and now no client can be assigned an ip address
dynamically.. have killed and recreated the scope but still nothing..i
continually get server unreachable

but when i hard code an ip address i can ping it fine

any ideas?

Open DHCP snap-in and ensure the server is authorised.
