No Desktop, No Safe Mode, No System Restore (.dll errors)

Recently my computer would start up and the taskbar would appear for a second
and then disappear. Safe Mode will not work, but I don't know that would mean
anything. The only thing I can see is my wallpaper; I can access anything
through Ctrl+Alt+Del and everything still works. System Restore will not work
either.

Here are the two errors I get when I log on to my account:

RUNDLL
Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\uxvjp.dll
Access is denied.

RUNDLL
Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\laprbpb.dll
The specific module could not be found.

I'm not sure if these errors have to do with the desktop missing, but I
couldn't find any information on these certain .dll's. I have read about a
lot of others having the same problem, but I haven't found a solution that
works for me.

Any help would be appreciated. If you need more information to further help
me, I will gladly provide it.

I will try the software they recommended from that link, but I can't boot
into safe mode or use system restore so I don't think the first procedure
will work.

Any other advice?

Also, if I attempt to run 'explorer.exe', the start menu will appear for a
brief second and then disappear.

Ya, I can boot normally, but safe mode doesn't work. I will try the second
procedure from that link, but I think I may have to reinstall Windows XP. How
would I go about doing that?

If you can boot & get on line, an online scan at trendmicro.com might help.
Also downloading & updating both Adaware & Spybot, run both

I ran the Trend Micro, but it didn't help. I've downloaded McAfee and Ad
Aware programs, but they didn't help either. Is it possible that my only
solution may be to reinstall Windows XP? If so, how do I do that?

No legal version of Windows can be sold without a way to recover the original
system. See the OEM documents if you have a preinstalled version. If you
simply lack the standard ms setup CD that you used originally, buy a new one
for about 10 bucks.
REPLACEMENT MS CDs - 800-360-7561 - - REPLACEMENT PRODUCT KEY- 1 800 426
9400 - - OEM CDs that are out of business - 1 800 325 1233

I believe I have the XP startup disc, what other disc(s) will I need? I'm not
the best with computers, and I don't know all of the terminology so I'm not
too sure about doing this clean install.

I am having the same problem as you. If I ever fix it I will post back raisin.

Malware - you need to do a find/findnext through regedit and delete
all finds .
