Win2K machines, SP3 on all. They boot to the welcome
screen, and users can enter their passwords and log in.
However, they never get to a desktop; they see the blank
screen with an hourglass cursor in front of it,
indefinitely.
If they ctrl-alt-del again and choose "logoff," they
breifly see errors regarding "mobsync" and "svchosting"
flash by, then they're back to the welcome screen. Note:
that's "svchosting," not "svchost." I suspect a virus,
but I'm not getting anywhere with it yet.
Any suggestions? Does anyone recognize "svchosting" as a
legit part of Win2k?
