no contact with windows!!

After failed attempts at downloading sp2 from windows, I ordered and
received sp2 disc through post!!! dowloading went fine but since I keep
getting 'updates' for sp2 from windows. Their 'contact us' is null and void.
cant get to ask them:dont they know I have sp2 now: Can I stop the update
messages from here? ty
 
Are you saying that after installing SP2 from the CD you received you are
getting update notifications from Microsoft to download SP2? Or are you
saying that you are getting update notifications to download other updates
from Microsoft? Even though Service Pack 2 was recently released there are
still other updates being generated from Microsoft. These will continue
until, eventually, there will be a Service Pack 3.
 
Hi, MsInterpret, the same happened to me, my installation log shows: SP2
installed, but MS-update reminders to download SP2 came for several weeks.
They finally stopped without doing anything. Now I am getting the new
released updates just fine.
