No card reader?? help please

XP Pro

Since upgrading to XP I am unable to engage my card readers (tried 2).
The indicater lights up on the readers when plugged into the USB
ports...(proved USB ports worked)
I just cannot see the card reader device anywhere.

Please help

have you installed the drivers for the card reader.. if there are any

Yes I have tried to install drivers but I get the message in Win XP the
"driver has not been tested for XP...recommend not to install"

Just install it anyway. That message just means that the card reader vendor did not bother to send
the drivers to MS for testing.

Thanks Richard...I did "continue anyway" with installation but error message
saying "error occurred during hardware installation".
Message box asking for "please insert discin drive/s F & G....inserting the
CF card makes no difference.
The plot thickens.!...good ol XP?
I have also installed my Camera's USB software (Pentax)...still no joy.
My 2 card readers I am trying to enable are:
1) DATAFAB DSCFSM-USB (unable to obtain XP driver)
2) INTEGRAL make ...No model number apart from 10 digit bar code
(1441102804)

Your time is not.

Probably best to just go get a new one that's
compatible.

SiiG devices have worked well for me.
