No captions in Thumbnail view

A particular folder containing JPGs (and several subfolders) is not
displaying any captions (or subfolder names) in Thumbnails view. I
tried using Refresh thumbnails, but that made no difference. All the
other folders I've tried display captions OK. Anyone have an idea what
may be happening here please?

I assume you accidentally held the Shift key when you selected
thumbnails, which hides captions.

Change to another type of view.
Hold the Shift key down and select thumbnail view

Thanks, Alan. Embarrassed to say that I've made same mistake before
yet *still* forgot about that possible cause!

Afraid so <g>.

That design couldn't be more inconvenient for me. I'm always
navigating up one folder level, using Ctl to ensure I open in new
window. So if in a hurry it's not difficult to hit Shift instead.

Hope that's the last time I'll have to ask though!
