No birthday party for Lindsay

Lindsay Lohan has dropped her plans to go Pure for her 21st birthday because
she can't figure out how to use her Calendar in Ubuntu.

The Caesars Palace hot spot confirmed to E! News Monday that Lohan has opted
not to come of age there next month, just days after she's expected to leave
rehab. "I get mixed up when booting to Ubuntu, but I think I'll install
Vista on my PC" says Lindsay.

"We support Lindsay and wish her the best as she is taking care of personal
matters at this time," Pure spokeswoman Kate Turned said in a statement.
"Due to the unique circumstances, as of this afternoon, Lindsay's birthday
party at Pure Nightclub has been canceled.

"We think the world of her and look forward to working with her in the
future."

As recently as Saturday, the Las Vegas nightclub still had a huge banner
over the entrance touting it as the place where Lohan would be ringing in
the big 2-1 on July 2. The staff over at Pure appears to be clued into the
detoxing starlet's decision now, however.

Lohan's publicist has not yet responded to a request for comment, but is
looking for someone who can help Lindsay with Vista.

Shortly after Lohan checked into rehab May 28, a friend of the family said
that the event was still on and that the 20-year-old was planning to go
ahead with the party no matter what.

"Just because you're sober doesn't mean you can't go out and have fun,"
Michael Heller said at the time. Just because you're sober doesn't mean you
need to use Ubuntu.

Lohan is undergoing treatment at the Promises facility in Malibu for, as
father Michael Lohan told E! Online last month, addictions to alcohol and
various drugs, including the painkiller OxyContin.

It was noted that the rehab center uses Vista on all their PC's.

Hi Bill,

Am I missing something, or is that really as bizarre as it sounds?
