No audio sound

I lost my audio sound. No sound with Media Player 9.
And no sounds when I boot up and shut down. I can record
in the sound recorder but I don't hear any playback. All
the volumn controlls are up. There is no conflict in the
device manager. I don't use a sound card. I use an
audio card....Delta M44 to record audio in my Cakewalk
program. Same problem with that. I can record into it
and I see the wave patterns but, no sound on play back.
I've checked everything and it all looks O.K. Anybody
have any ideas? Thanks.
