NO AUDIO ON PLAYBACK

When i go to playback a video that i have downloaded to
my pc, everything works but the audio. i am loading the
movies from a SONY DCR-HC40. HELP---THANKS
 
How are you doing it, what connection. What setting do you have on the cam
16 bit or 12 bit. Sometimes 12 bit will work when 16 bit doesn't.
