No audio in DV Firewire data stream?

Using MM2.0 to capture video vie IEEE 1384/Firewire from DV camcorder
Samsung SCD67 to my WinXP system.

No audio!

Do I need a secondary audio analog input? I had assumed that the digital
data stream had everything but there is no audio on playback of captured
files!

I scanned search results on this but didnt see this addressed tho many
similar topics...

HELP?

There is audio on the tape?
Have you checked the finished capture to see if audio is there? as it does
not have sound during capture.
Firewire carries all the signal, so you need nothing else.
What steps did you follow to capture?
What are you playing the file in that has no sound?

Forgot about that, apparently it does happen with more than one make of cam
that 12 bit is best. Hopefully they'll sort it!!
