no audio device

Hi, I have an HP A810N (AMD64) system that I have been using for a while.
This morning I tried to install a Bluetooth device, but it paniced by system.
I uninstalled the Bluetooth software and tried to do a system restore to
that morning. Afterwards, I had some exclimations near my CD, DVD, and
RealTek AC97 audio device. I removed them, rebooted, then let the system
reinstall the devices. Now the Sounds and Audio Device Properties
configuration window says "no audio device". I've gone to HP and have
downloaded the latest sp26412.exe for the RealTek AC97; however, my system
still says "no audio device".

gk4,

sp26412 as far as I can see is only an update for existing drivers. I can't
seem to find the actual drivers you need on HP's site. HP really kind of
sucks, I don't like that company at all. If I find the drivers I'll post a
link. In the mean time maybe someone else will help you.
