I am extremely frustrated!! I was forced to do a system reinstall after
getting the infamous "blue screen". In addition to losing everything, I
don't have any audio on my system. I have gone into the sounds section of
the control panel and it says "no audio found". I have used all of my system
disks and nothing installs as far as audio. I have tried the "Dell" website
along with "Windows" to download player but after download and install,
nothing still is listed. Help please....any suggestions???

It sounds like a driver problem. Try and install the drivers for your
machine, from the Dell site (If they are the make of the computer). Then try
this:

Click start > Right click My computer > click properties > on the hardware
tab > Device manager

Is anything under unknown, if not, look under Sound, Video and game
controllers. If your sound card there?

Yes just type in google Realtec.AC97 Drivers these are for your sound, you find quite a few sites to download these drivers just download them and then you will have sound on your computer. The reason for this is microsoft do not supply drivers for sound.I am sure that this will take away your frustrations.PS: when you download the drivers don't forget to click on save and save them to a CD or floppy disc.Cheers!!!!
