No address bar

WXP SP2 IE6 When I open my browser address bar (name only ) is on the
right hand side in grey Nowhere to type in an address. Going thru View only
switches the greyed address off and on.

Toolbar / Menu bar / Address bars missing or misplaced

Try resetting the Toolbar position in the registry. Use this tool from Doug Knox,

Thanks for your quick answer, but in the meantime, I went back into view and
toolbar and unlocked toolbar and went back to address on the bar and
stretched it out. Stupid me. All fixed but thank you anyway
