No active mixer

When I open the "Volume control" in the "Entertainment"
set, it said that "There are no active mixer devices
available. You may install mixer devices from the
Add/Remove Hardware from Control Panel". But I still
coudn't do as the instruction says. Please tell me how to
install the mixer devices. Thanks
