We have a second domain controller with windows 2000
server installed. The shared folders on this machine
are accessible from windows xp machines but not from
windows 95 and 98 machines. Can anybody help me on how to
fix this problem? I am able to ping the server from the
95 and 98 machines and I can see it in the network
neighbourhood but as soon as I click on it it starts
thinking and says after a while that it can't find the
computername. Could it have something to do with a hot
fix that disables 95 and 98 users to access shared
folders? Because the other domain controller is almost
identical and with this machine the 95 and 98 clients
don't have the problem of accessing the shared folders.
The AD is replicated between both domain controllers.
