maybe someone asked this before, but what's the reason
why outlook doesn't support NNTP?

are there any COM plugin that does a good job at
supporting NNTP?

Because Outlook Express already does. Outlook using Exchange supports NNTP
feeds through Exchange Public Folders, the only desired method for
corporations, the premier target for Outlook.
