NM Indexing Service ???

Hi again All,

Occasionally I get an error message that appears saying there was a problem
with my NM Indexing service. What is this, and how can I sort it out, fix it
or get rid of it if it isn't needed ?

I couldn't find any useful info on the microsoft site either.

It's the Nero Scout that you installed along with the rest of the Nero
suite. I don't recall if their install allows you to NOT include Nero
Scout, but after installing the Nero suite you can right-click (I think)
on the Nero Scout toolbar in the Windows taskbar and elect NOT to have
it load. Fact is, Ahead wants you to load lots of Nero crap on startup
that are near worthless.
