Hello everybody.

I'm considering the coolscan 5000 mostly because you can purchase the
adapter that can scan 50 slides. Scanning speed is important to me
because of the amoutn of slides I'm scanning.

Can you guys share your experience with this scanner and it's adapter.

I will be scannning slides - sensia, velvia, provia
black and white negatives
colour negatives

I'm not totally bent on getting this scanner so if you prefer another
scanner over this one (such as the minolta 5400) please tell me so.

TIA

I've have the 4000 with the older version of the batch feeder. Its an
excellent scanner, though the older batch feeder needs to be slightly
modified with an old credit card to work smoothly.

However, I understand that the new batch feeder is much better and does
not need any mods.

It's an excellent scanner.
