Nickname cache still doesn't work even after recreating .NK2 file

I have a user that has automatic name checking selected in Outlook 2003. It
does not work. I renamed her *.NK2 file thinking that it was corrupted, and
it still does not work.

Any suggestions?

It is tied to the mail profile so renaming it to .old rarely actually works
(always worth a shot though!). You must recreate the profile instead;

Hi Roady,

Thank you for the reply. I should have mentioned earlier, that I created
her a new profile before I renamed her .NK2 file.

Any other suggestions? Is it possible that another file (in her Outlook
folder where her .NK2 file is located) is prohibiting her nickname file from
caching email addresses?

Could you solve this? I'm having the same problem with an user, tried lots
of things (renamed the nk2 files, made a new profile, gave the user
administrator priviledges just in case), but it's strange, sometimes if I
checked the .nk2 date of updating it was updated and sometimes it wasn't.
Thks!

You don't state your version of Outlook. Some have autocompletion and some
do not.

OK, then, you do have the autocompletion feature. However, if you tried a
new mail profile, I'm at a loss. I've never know a new profile not to fix
the problems with autocompletion.
