NIC spewing traffic after install SP3

After installing W2K, my NIC works fine. After
installing SP3, my NIC continuously spews traffic. I've
installed 3 different NICs and even tried WinXP Pro.
This has happened on two different machines. Each is a
Micron Millennia PIII 500. If I don't install the SP3
the NIC works fine. Only after. With XP SP1, it started
out spewing. Does anyone have any ideas?
