Newsreader has disappeared

Curt Anderson

I successfully added the "News" option to my "Go" menu
using the instructions for customizing the commands. I
also was able to access several newsgroups. Outlook
later crashed. After rebooting the system, I now have no
option in the Go menu for running the newsreader and have
no option in the customize commands window for adding the
News Option to the Go menu. It seems as if Outlook
thinks it there, but it isn't.

Thanks for any help.

Are we to assume Outlook 2003?
If so, To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control
Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.
